The mayors of municipalities who have arrived in Perm for the General Meeting of the Association of Volga Region Cities have been shown the main city’s objects that were built and renovated for the anniversary. The colleagues have marked that Perm has been significantly transformed and the citizens have celebrated Perm’s anniversary living in the contemporary and rapidly developing city.

In 2023 Perm celebrated the 300th anniversary. And this year it was important for the capital of Perm Krai to welcome such a representative delegation presented by the mayors of major cities of the Volga region. It was no coincidence that Perm was chosen as the venue for this event. During recent years our city has announced itself as a dynamically developing city  with over million people throughout Russia. Perm has developed in various directions and has already gained useful experience in these spheres. For instance: transport development, parking policy, municipal-private partnerships, high level of school education, cultural projects. By the 300th anniversary about 40 new parks and public gardens have appeared, the facades of the residential buildings in the city center have been renovated, the  quality of roads has been improved, new social objects have been built.

Thus, the members of the Association of the Volga region have visited the Memorial to the Ural Volunteer Tank’s Corp, the Soviet Army boulevard and the Esplanade. These places have become popular with Perm residents. Moreover, the mayors of the cities inspected the renovated building of the Palace of Youth and the renovated building of the sport arena «Spartak», the reconstruction of which is approaching completion.

The first Deputy Mayor of Samara Maksim Kharitonov has noted that over the past year a lot of work has been done in Perm.

“The Esplanade is just a wonderful venue. I suppose that it attracts not only Perm residents, but also all guests of the city. I really like the architectural illumination of the residential buildings in the center that accurately highlights the renovated facades”, – Maxim Kharitonov shared.

The head of Cheboksary city administration Denis Spirin said that Perm has impressed him.

“Last time when I visited Perm was winter. Our delegation attended some city objects, but the Palace of Youth was not opened at that time. Today we were shown a contemporary building, that was built for the young generation. It is fine that the municipality invests in the future of the city, keeps up with the latest news and receives such a response from young people. I have noticed that the city has lots of young creative specialists”, – Denis Spirin said.

At the end of the visit, the guests of the regional capital planted trees in the Tatishchev Public Garden.
